    Q1:
    Answer the following questions:
1.1. What are team dynamics? Write your answer in 50-100 words.
1.2. What are the three (3) important dimensions of team dynamics?
1.3. How can the group dynamics support or hinder team performance? Write your answer in 50-70 words.

Team Dynamics can be stated as the behavioural interactions between the team members. The way they communicate with each other defines the way team is going to behave. Everyone has a different strength and weakness and hence it’s the role of leadership to ensure that team communicates in the positive way and strengths of each member is harnessed to its ability. The leadership has the responsibility to set the agenda of the team members but should not be involved in the micro-management.
The three important dimensions of team dynamics are Daily Interaction, Clearly Defined roles and Collaboration.
The group dynamics is the most important factor for any team’s success, if the team don’t interact, they would not know the progress of their peers as each individual task would be collaborated for the overall task. In the absence of a clearly defined role, the team member would lose its direction and would be work non-cohesively. The collaboration between the team members would help the team to use the right team member for the right task and the allocation of such task would positively impact the timelines of the task.
From the above, we have clearly seen that team dynamics can be the make or break for the team as the absence / presence of Daily Interaction determines the direction of the task. Even if the daily interaction happens, the absence of Clearly defined roles plays a vital cog in the wheel and a collaboration of individual tasks will make it a team work.

The first step is to identify the team members having different abilities required for the job. The team is then introduced to each other to foster trust and build relationships among each other. The team members are then given their job roles and key performance area which is required to close their part in the team. The team members are then encouraged to communicate with each other over petty task thereby leading to a culture of cooperation. Post every task, each team member is being reviewed for their accountability and evaluate the progress. The last step is to celebrate each milestone with team members.
The team members are often explained the goals of the activity to be achieved which is broken into smaller individual tasks. The team members post each task may also be given a training needs / developmental plan to uplift them to a desired level of skills required for the task. The success measures are always discussed with the team members to ensure that they are on track.
