Purpose: This assessment is designed to reinforce the subject content and develop students’ skills and application of knowledge of the subject content to business situations. This assessment relates to learning outcomes a, b and c.


Value: 20%


Topic: This assignment covers contemporary theoretical concepts with practical accounting task application based on the topics from the subject.


Task Details: This assignment requires students to complete the Capital Market Research educational modules listed on http://topfxbrokersreview.com/forex-education/. Reference the share price of ASX corporation AERIS RESOURCES LIMITED (AIS) for the last 2 years and link information that may have impacted on the corporation’s share price during this time. Students will review general purpose financial report material, company releases, media, and other sources. Students must prepare a comprehensive report directed to this research. The report: should include educational certificates, data extracted from the general purpose financial report and additional material relevant to the analysis you accessed.



Presentation: Report – 1500 word report. The word count excludes the cover sheet, contents page, references, appendices, and illustrations (e.g. diagrams, graphs and tables). Students need to stay within the assigned word limits, and indicate the word count on the cover page of the assignment.

Executive summary
This paper deals with analyzing the stock price movement of Aeries Resource Limited over past two years from Jun’17 to Jun’19. Here, it is tried to find out the factors that impacted the share price movement. The analysis reveals that company’s own performance has significantly impacted the hare price movement, especially from Jun’17 to Oct’18. However, from Jan’19 to Jun’19, despite of high performance record, share price goes down continuously. Overall poor market sentiment and high competitions are the major reason for such anomaly. It is concluded that company is fundamentally strong and undertaking of Greenfield projects of exploration and drilling appeals a good performance of business in future. In past two years, company’s stock has yielded 50% return and hopefully, it will perform even better in future.

Aeris Resources Limited is an Australia based company primarily engaged in copper mining and exploration. Tritton Copper Corporation is company’s flagship assets based in South Wales that explore the major copper metal from different parts of the country. Several underground mines are operated by Tritton Copper and having capacity of 1.8 million ton per year at its processing plant. Advanced mining project has been carried out through Tritton Copper and it is estimated to explore 750,000 ton of copper till date.
