1. Introduction
The American political as well as religious landscape have been reported to undergo a major and dramatic transformation. Every citizen living in America is allowed to follow any religious or cultural beliefs; therefore, they are not forced to follow any specified religion. Religion diversity as well as political forces both are responsible for the transitions occurring in the US. Religion helps with the development of moral society, collective goals, cultural boundaries and much more. Thus, political actors may use this diversity for their benefit during electoral practices.
2. Agreeing or Disagreeing the USA Being Christian Nation
Considering United Nations as a Christian nation could be presented as a multi fold argument because every community or political may present different theories as well as concept. Religious right activists as well as right wing television preachers and many others may claim the US as a Christina nation. Further, they also present to inculcate doctrines and policies with respect to Christian culture. However, the believers of these proposals and arguments are mostly Christians.
According to them, the US was founded based upon Christian beliefs and values. However, the constitution of the US states in the first amendment that the US is completely a secular document. Further, I would like to present that the US constitution does not include or provide no mention related to Jesus or Christianity rather, religion itself have hardly been used throughout the constitution. Therefore, I would strongly believe that officially the US is not a Christina nation because only 43% of the US population have been reported to be Christian and this does not even comprise 50% of the population (Americans United).
