Career Exploration

For this assignment, you will explore the Career Center and some of the services available to students. Even if you are certain as to your career track and plans for post-graduation, exploring and learning about various other options is always a good idea.
Instructions:

1. Access theCareer Resources at the University of Arizona Global Campus

2. Access the "Self-Assessment, Career Exploration and Planning" link in the top toolbar.


3. Select the link for “My Next Move.”


4. Take a moment to review the My Next Move website, which is a great tool that allows you to search potential careers by keywords, industry, or allows you to complete a short assessment to determine career fields that may interest you.


5. Utilizing the search feature, research at least two different career areas that interest you.Review the “On the job” and “What they do” sections. Also, take time to review the knowledge skills and abilities.
   


6. Select the “Explore” link located at the bottom of the page (next to Help) and then “Browse careers by industry” to provide ideas for additional roles that may interest you.


7. Take note of at least two "related" occupations for each search. Click the hyperlinks for these positions and read the descriptions of these occupations. Do any of these related positions also interest you?

Write a 350-word reflective journal comparing what you learned about yourself in the Big Five discussion this week to the abilities and personality characteristics described in your profession of interest.
