Thank you for sharing your insight regarding ethical principles as they apply to Frank's situation! In light of the reading (Johnson, 2007), when considering Kidder's principles any of these could apply, butshort- versus long-term goalsandjustice versus mercyseem most closely aligned in my mind, andgreed--over ego and insecurities--seems especially culpable. What do you think? In the corporate world, responsible business men and women must consider their stakeholders and make decisions that are in their best interests, as well as the needs of employees, but when their own jobs are tied to financial outcomes, it can be very tempting to lean toward the influence of the bottom line.CLASS: How can individuals in management positions--or any of us, for that matter, in any position!--protect themselves from this selfish ambition

for the discussion and your post insightful as it give new dimension to this knowledge sharing session. Indeed, in this cut-throat competitive world it is evident that people do prioritize the short-term gains over their long-term objectives. Indeed, there is strong relevance of greed over insecurities or ego in the corporate world. Ideally, as a leader or as a team player, individual should put the common objective/ team goal above his/her gains. However, in reality it is often seen that people take advantage of the situation or perhaps steal idea or not give the due credit to concerned members.
