The problem is the increasing hate crime against the LGBT community. Goals The primary goal of this campaign is to sensitize on the social, biological and psychological dimension of the LGBT community. The campaign will seek to also reduce the injustice and crime against the LGBT community by elimating on the LGBT community rights. Targets The decision making on the LGBT community rights issue is generally caused by the affected society of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender. The Supreme Court rulings, and other political leaders, religious and denomination leaders provide significant influence and perspectives that change the decision on the issue. The targets are all LGBT individuals. Core Constituencies The most affected persons with a hate crime are lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons. The campaign found and incorporated transgender survivors and victim, lesbians and gays who will actively participate in finding the solution for this issue. Allies Lawyers, psychological practitioners, Human rights support organizations and groups in the country, police, political leaders who support the LGBT community and their federal and state rights. Lawyers will provide significant legal jurisdictions and judicial support in Courts. Psychiatrists and counselors are notable to offer a psychological perspective to why such human sexuality disorientation exist. Human rights support groups will support the human rights of every individual in the community regardless of sex, gender and race. Political leaders pass and make law in Congress, and they are instrumental in the process. The police are to enforce the law during the campaign. Opposition The religious and denominations in the states and lobby groups are the chief opposers of the campaign. The offenders of these crimes may hide within these groups. Accepting their opinion. Key Messages Crime against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) persons is a crime against humans being, a violation of human rights and federal Act. We want to live too. We are no different from others. Support non-discrimination and non-violence against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community Tactics Lawfully accepted protest campaigns will aid of supporters grouping. These groups branded with shirts portraying the message of the campaign “We want to live too. We are no different from others” will carry out public protest. The use of sound/audio aid will help in communicating with the public of the campaign initiative. Social media networking Activities 1. Grouping of the core parties to different groups and delegating them to various state locations 2. Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms will help to make the campaign viral. 3. Campaign branding and persuasion of the public to join in the campaign even if they are themselves not LGBT community members is a considerable activity. Organizational Structure The networked organization structure will be sufficient for a selected steering committee for the campaign. Steering committee appointment with delegated responsibilities to make the different functions efficient. The head of the campaign, his /her assistant, finance controller/ treasurer, secretary, representative of each constituent of the community. The committee through a democratic process will make decisions that are backed by each group. Communication would be through face to face meetings and informal discussions. Budget The budget for the company is approximately $10,000. With support from political leaders, support groups and volunteers among other reliable sources, the amount can be raised. Staff The campaign may or may not require payment of teams. The leading campaigner and staffs are the volunteers, but the key leaders in strategies and management may demand compensation as a token of recognition for their efforts. Volunteers The campaign seeks to have as many volunteers as possible to aid in the mobilization of the public. Through a direct face to face approach, social media and other networks as well as support groups, the volunteers will be requested and persuaded to join in the campaign. Timeline The campaign will last for three months. The first two weeks of the first month will be the resource search and planning phase of the campaign. The next weeks of the first, second and third month will be the actual campaign weeks with interval breaks in between them on specific days. The last week of the month will be the revaluation and closure of campaign weeks. Community Building Activities Sporting fair within the campaign period to engage the community in sporting activities Fashion and pageant contests that mostly will present the true nature of the LGBT community. Community outreach activities are to be conducted to familiarize the community with the campaign organizers. Evaluation The two campaign evaluation methods that will be put to place includes the outcome and impact evaluation techniques. The outcome will seek to measure the effects and changes that arise from the company. For example, assessing if there has been any policy, behavior and affective changes towards the LGBT community. The impact method will measure the community level of change and the long run results of the campaign on an aggregate. The technique's success will be known if the changes in the behavior of the community result in the reduction of crime against the LGBT community and any system changes in this community's rights. Other far-reaching outcomes would be the education of the public on human rights, development of modern trends and acceptance initiation of the LGBT community into the society and increase in other related campaigns.
