For this week’s assignment read the article/dissertation “Impact of open enrollment and daily commute on college student retention“ carefully and in its entirety. You can skim the literature review. Pay particular attention to the quantitative part of this study. You do not need to elaborate on the qualitative part just yet. You can find the article in Week 6.
Analyze the validity of the data presented – specifically to the quantitative part of the study. Did the author address the validity and limitations? What are some of the inconsistencies? Did the author’s data analysis match the hypotheses? Pay attention to the research questions and determine if the quantitative analysis accurately reflects reality. Pay attention to the quantitative data collection method, population size, and sample size. Determine the adequacy of the method and sample size. In your concluding paragraph, determine whether or not this study is accurate and useful; explain your assessment in detail.
