assignment, complete the following:

  1. Identify the company’s domestic environment and discuss how the government regulations affect its domestic environment it must operate in.

  2. Identify a global environment for the company and discuss how the government regulations affect its global environment it must operate in.

  3. Identify the hard and soft technology and interpret the characteristics the company should have/use to be successful in its domestic and global environment.

  4. Identify the political-legal barriers for the company in both the domestic and global environments. Use business theory/theorists to illustrate how the company can operate successfully in its domestic and global environment.

  5. Identify, compare, and contrast sociocultural factors of the domestic and global environments of the company.

  6. Compare and contrast two economic theories for both the domestic and global environments of the company.

Taxes: Foot Loser has to pay Federal Taxes while holding their domestic operations in US. Since their head office operations are registered in New York State, they will to pay state taxes of that region. Failing to pay taxes would lead to imprisonment or heavy penalties. Types of taxes paid include income tax, excise tax, employment tax, estimated tax etc.
Employment and Labor Protection: The company has to follow strict employment regulations which includes:
Fair Labor Standards Act 1938 which pertains to protecting employees by having minimum wages, equal opportunities, child labor regulations, over time allowance etc. to be followed by local and federal governments
Employee Retirement Income Security Act which pertains to employees who can plan their retirement options, include family health benefit options including their insurance benefits, employee security, non US citizens benefits etc.
