Introduction
In the present trends of working it is important to conduct the job analysis of the workers and form a proper competency model which is a combination of various skills found in an employee. In this report the academic literature on job analysis and competency model will be discussed.
Literature Review
Competency model is the identification of necessary and require skills in a worker to perform the job in a proper manner. Vandaveer, Lowman, Peralman and Brannick (2016) have discussed that the most common approach are used, however the analysis is done at the individual job level and the organizational level. Park and Luo (2017) have discussed that job analysis is the collection of data about the jobs done which are observable and further the individual’s skills, knowledge and abilities that are needed to perform a job. Aishaa, Sudirmanab, Siswantoc and Andrianid (2019) have discussed that competency model is a guideline set out by the HRM that will look for the specific skills, knowledge and behaviour that will enable the employees in performing their job in a proper manner. Based on the hierarchical level such as top management level managers, middle level managers, executive level managers and the ground level workers, for each of the position the se of different competency model are set because the more the hierarchical order goes up more the job responsibility rises. Competency model is generally to guide and applicable in development of the leaders. They are generally such leaders who fill a wide variety of joint position and thus the performance requirements demands...
