Studying doctorate degrees becomes a daunting process for students because they have to re-align themselves with the learning environment as after years of work experience, family life and other challenges it becomes difficult to manage time. Sopon (2017) believed that there are different stages in the life of graduate students where they need to strike a balance so that they can increase their competencies unconsciously and consciously.
This is the only reason why doctoral programs witness many dropouts leading to downward trend of success. Financial burdens, family life, available opportunities for growth in professional life, decisions during crucial timeline can be other factors, which affects the time management capacities.
