Wal-Mart is a company that operates retail stores which includes general merchandise combinations, Discounts warehouse clubs and most importantly grocery stores. Core strategy used by Wal-Mart is “every day low price” which makes it different and provides an edge in competitive market. It is highly adaptable to adaption of internal as well as external environment with the help of technology, human resource strength, and focus on customer along with growth and by offering quality products (J Dawkins, S Lewis). Wal-Mart knows its niche and market very well and have added value to organization by using several required changes and strategies as and when required. Wal-Mart is a learning organization that is always open to adapt and embrace any market changes and implement them successfully to survive well as business organization.
Structure of Wal-Mart was highly organic with great degree of decentralization wherein due to impact of internal and external environment, there was observed change in culture resulting in still high level decentralization but with the decision making power centralization to CEO and Top level management (Porter, M., 2019).
