Reflection is a tool for contemporary professional practice. The purpose of this assignment is to enable students to reflect on their development and capacity to innovate across changing organisational environments and future-oriented work roles, and of their professional capacity to lead and participate in sustainable business change. The reflection should demonstrate individual insights into the application of Design Thinking as a method for developing innovative solutions for problem solving and your engagement in the group project assignment process. You need to use the user feedback received for the prototyped solution and propose improvements to improve user desirability, technical viability and business feasibility. There is no specific format required for the critical reflection paper. It should draw on academic sources and utilise the Harvard WSU method of referencing.

This is a 1000-word critical reflection assignment. This assignment requires students to submit an individual written critical reflection on innovation management and professional practice with a particular emphasis on the design thinking project (group project) and practice and protocols of professional and social networks. Your submission should:

1. State the business problem your group focused in the design thinking project and present your view of the problem definition (What is) phase.

2. Reflect on the application of Design Thinking as a method of developing an innovative solution by identifying the benefits, limitations and challenges in applying the method.
