Many survivors of the coronavirus disease epidemic 2019 (COVID-19), an outbreak with lasting impacts, may experience adverse effects on their cardiovascular health. An etiologic organism of COVID-19, Severe Acute Respiratory Symptoms 2 (SARS-CoV-2), may infect the heart, vascularized, and circulating cells thanks to Adrenoceptor enzyme 2 (ACE2), the host cell receptors for the viral spike protein (Palazzuoli et al,2021). A characteristic extra-pulmonary COVID-19 symptom without probable long-term repercussions is abrupt heart injury. This update addresses the hypothesised SARS-CoV-2 and secondary immune response pathways impacting the cardiovascular system, clinical signs of cardiovascular involvement, and implications for patient treatment after acute COVID-19 infection (Reza, DeFilippis & Jessup,2020).
The majority of acutely unwell individuals are diagnosed after presenting to the hospital, not via testing in the community. Since acute HF (AHF) symptoms and signs are characterised by an acute respiratory failure brought on by COVID-19 infection, sudden side effect onset, continuing to increase dyspnea, and orthopnea possibly requiring prompt hospitalisation, there is a compelling need to distinguish between the two syndromes using an appropriate diagnostic protocol. With both cardiac and respiratory problems (AHF and ARDS, respectively), dyspnea constitutes the most prevalent symptom. In order to limit interactions among both AHF and ARDS patient populations and stop the spread of infection within the...
