This assignment is a presentation assignment, and my part is part four. The requirement is 700 words (Step 4: Through your investigation, inform the reader about some of the major/pioneering players in the segment. What is it that makes them unique (i.e., differentiates them)?)
Pictures and charts or tables are needed to strengthen the point of view, at least three documents should pay attention to the overall context, and must strictly follow the Instructions!

Instructions for Country Report (A1) BUSS 3113 Entrepreneurship & Strategy in Asia Assignment Weight: 20% + 30% This major group assignment asks you to follow the instructions in the Course Outline and Learn-On-Line for site Assignment 1 to: (a) gather in general information on either social or cultural industry on a country of your choice (b) finalize a specific and a relevant segment within cultural or social industry of the country you have chosen (c) develop a presentation on the topic (weight: 20%) (d) generate a detailed information report (weight: 30%)  (Remember, the country you choose must belong to one of the five countries that is of our interest and discussed extensively during the course.) Note: For example, you may decide to do your information report on say entertainment industry in South Korea. This is a broad segment in the cultural industry landscape. More specifically, you could choose to do your report on K-Pop within entertainment industry. Likewise, someone else may do Video Games in the South Korean entertainment industry. So, it is expected that you choose a specific sub-segment. Some more examples could be, Anime in Japan; Calligraphy in Japan; Street Food in Singapore; Indian Chinese Food in India; Aged care in China; Health services for poor in India; etc. By relevant, I mean that the cultural/social segment must be present in the country. For instance, Indian Chinese cuisine is relevant to the Indian context, but it is not so in the Chinese context. Likewise, kimono inspired fashion is typical of Japan and embroidery patterns more common in India. So, be mindful of the choice and the context. Of course, some segments will be more universal across the context (like aged care, LGBTQ welfare, child and women wellbeing). However, even in that case, link your discussion to the specific country context and evaluate it critically to draw some uniqueness. The point is that you choose a segment that is easily identifiable in the country context and you can make a strong social, cultural, and historical linkages to it. MUST: Before you finalize your social/cultural segment, make sure to discuss your choice with your lecturer and get it approved by Week 4 of the teaching semester, at the very latest. These instructions override any more general guidance that may be contained in the Course Outline. *** As part of the review of the specific segment within social/cultural industry, you will conduct a detailed analysis of the segment. In doing so, you must develop a robust understanding of the industry context in general and specific context of the sub-segment. You must also highlight some key players in the industry segment and discuss their uniqueness/differentiating factors, their value proposition and their target customers/audience. NOTE: A usual mistake is not to provide references (in-text and in the Reference List); please avoid that. ** Each group will be constituted of 3-4 members. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY As a guide, about a page and half which provides an overview of the report. ** It is a good practice to search online on how to write a good Executive Summary and a Business Report and to learn from it, prior to your write-up. Step 1: Begin with a brief overview of the social and/or cultural context of the country, depending on your focus (social or cultural industry landscapes). Step 2: Provide a detailed overview of the specific sub-segment of the industry that you have chosen. Relate the current context of the sub-segment to: · the social and/or cultural context in present and the past · society’s outlook on the subject · political and/or regulatory context The important dimension is to provide a holistic account for the sub-segment, so pay attention to the context in totality, and to show the evolution provide a historical account of it. Step 3: Through an in-depth analysis you should be able to inform the reader in detail about the segment and develop a business case for it. For instance, you should be able to inform if the segment is progressing, stagnate or in decline. What factors (social, economic or cultural) has contributed to its current state? · You may also think of sources of completion to the segment you are working on. What implications? [For instance, if you are working on Japanese Calligraphy, what competition it may face from other sources (such as painting, sculptures, etc.)? – Yet again, the competition could come from products/service nationally or internationally, for we live in a globalized society.] · You may wish to provide a domestic/national perspective of the segment. · In some instances, you may also wish to provide an international perspective, if the segment has gained international recognition. For instance, if you choose to work on Bollywood or K-Pop (or anything else likewise), you may adopt this perspective. Step 4: Through your investigation, inform the reader about some of the major/pioneering players in the segment. What is it that makes them unique (i.e., differentiates them)? Step 5: In the end, provide a reflective conclusion on the segment that you analyzed. What is your overall findings/conclusions? Reference List Appendix NOTE: 1. Your report may also include various charts, tables, or exhibits to support your analysis and conclusions. Keep in mind that some of your charts, tables, or exhibits may replace narrative text and, thus, make your report more concise and therefore better. 2. You may also choose to write some sections/portions in bullet format to make your report concise, yet not compromising on breadth of issues. 3. The important thing to bear in mind is that you provide logical connections to your arguments and the report must be well written (i.e. provide a compelling and a complete overview).
