Executive Summary
The strategy we follow for our Company B is low cost strategy. It’s a pricing strategy that the company is offering relatively low price to increase the demand of it products and to capture more market share. This is one of the three marketing strategy that a company adopts when their product has few or no competitive advantage.
If we look over the scoreboard for year 11 to 13 the company score keeps on decreasing every year. The company in Y11 was at rank 6 and in Y12 and Y13 it reaches to rank 8 which is lowest in the table of scoreboard. The total investor expectations score keeps on decreasing every year from Y11 to Y13. The scoreboard shows the image of the company in the market and looking over the above numbers we can say the company image is lowest in footwear industry.
If we look over the image rating score the company image rating score in Y11 was 68 and which got decreased to 65 in Y12. The company has lowest image rating score in comparison to that of the eight companies in footwear industry.
The company ROE form Y11 to Y12 decreases from 15.3 to 13.6 and the company ROE is lowest as compare to the other companies in the industry. Basically ROE is a measure the profitability of the company and this shows the company is earning lowest profit in the footwear industry. The company is not using its investments in a proper manner.
If we look over the profit figures company net profit shows a positive sign means there is increase in the net profit of the company as compare to that of the previous year. The company net profit margin in Y11 was 8.5% which increases to 9% in Y12. But on the other hand if we compare it to the industry the company has lowest profit margin in comparison to all other company in the industry.
If we look into the share price of the B Company we can see there is a decrease in share price of the company in Y12 as compare to that of Y11. On the other hand all other companies there are around average 70% increase in share price from the previous year. As the share prices shows the company earning potential so it will increase the faith of the investor in the company. Lower share price decrease the wealth of the investor as they are getting low dividends and low returns on their investments.
