To complete this assignment successfully you are required to develop and present two (2) case studies that might reflect potential ethical dilemmas that you might be confronted with in your future counselling practice. You need to develop each scenario so that you can demonstrate your knowledge of ethical principles, standards and theories and your capacity to identify violations or breaches.
Further, as part of your critical analysis, indicate what appropriate strategy the counsellor should apply to address the violations or breaches within each scenario. Additionally, you are to identify whether you would need to consult or refer, and how you might action this ethically. Please refrain from using case studies used in previous MC04 assessments or discussions.
To complete this assessment successfully:

Critically analyse the scenario in terms of the ethical principles and standards that have been violated/breached.

Contrast two different ethical theories (virtue ethics, deontology or consequentialism) to demonstrate your knowledge of how ethical arguments and outcomes of the scenario might change according to the ethics theory followed.

Critically analyse how the counsellor in each scenario should proceed in order to conform to appropriate ethical principles and standards, perhaps with the use of an EDM model.
o
Demonstrate your knowledge of how referral or consultation would be used as part of the outcome.
