However, it is worth mentioning that even before this pandemic period e-learning was introduced in the market and now it is an efficient and a trusted segment in the education sector. The preceding decades had witnessed the growth of e-learning platforms that helped students mainly those pursuing higher education. Growth of the cheaper technologies and efficient technological development has supported the teaching-learning aspects through online platforms (Kumar Basak, Wotto & Belanger, 2018). Market research records that the technological investment in the education sector was around 18.36 billion dollars in 2019. It is forecasted that this figure shall go up to 350 billion dollars in 2025.
