write me a brief (1-2 pages) paper in response to the readings for this week-- Confucius, Daodeching, and the Jataka. All three of these texts are forms of didactic literature-- literature that's meant to teach morals-- and are forms of philosophical writing. In your response, you might consider the effectiveness of the varying structures (that is, one's a narrative, the other are cryptic paradoxical sayings, etc). Reflect on how the structures help to convey the varying messages. In your response, you should also summarize the message for each text.
Also in your response -- just let me know what you thought about the readings! This can be casual, in the first person.
