Self-cleaning water bottle or auto-clean bottle is a futuristic idea, which keeps the liquid insulated and free form any germs or diseases. It is embedded with UV technology, which works on destroying germs, pathogens, bacteria and reduces the possibility of any waterborne disease. There are beneficial to a major extent as they self-sanitise itself as compared to standard reusable water bottles (Mashable, 2022). With its auto-cleaning function, the drinking water can be purified in few minutes only. People who have love for sports or adventure seeking or those who prefer to keep their water bottles with them while travelling; this is an ideal solution for them.
Opportunities and Benefits
Auto clean bottle is a solution to plastic bottle, which is not only an environmental hazard but also a reason for health complications. Cancer is being one among them. Plastic is harmful as it clogs the surface of earth and do not allow the water to seep inside. Moreover, it takes 500 years to get degrade.
These bottles are free from foul smell, can banish must and moulds by itself and save the consumer from the tedious task of cleaning bottle every time after use. The salt, which is deposited at the base and on the sidewalls of the bottle, is also not there to reduce the lifespan of the bottle or corrupt the material.
