Negotiation is a part and parcel of today’s society and it is we
ll implemented in business scenarios as well. In today’s society, such negotiations come handy in solving wide array of problems that encompasses the ambit of politics and business alike. For instance, Apple made a public apology in China as the company’s warranty policy was not up to the mark and creating problems for the Chinese customers. I think Apple was able to pacify the angry customers as apologies are more acceptable in eastern nations like China and Japan etc. It stems from the fact that they have collectivist mindset, hence people in such countries look at a matter from societal point of view. Thus negotiation in China worked by making a sincere public apology that appealed to the minds and hearts of their large customer base in China.
