The relation between police operating in a certain community and the people living in that specific community is very important for the well-being of everyone. It is the duty of the police to maintain law and order among the people of a certain community and the community people must have cordial relation with the police so that they co-operate with the police officers and help them do their duty efficiently. The concept of employment of police forces in order to maintain law and order in the state has been a very old practice for over hundreds of years. Across Europe and America, the state rulers to maintain efficiency of law and order for many years now have deployed police forces. However, it is also a well-known fact that the relation between the police forces and community people is often not cordial and gives rise to unrest in the community for a number of times. Be it because of police brutality or the lack of knowledge of the people on law and order many reps have often broken out between communities and the police of that specific community. There are certain ways to tackle the rifts that take place between people of a community and the police serving them. Some of the tactics are mentioned in this article.
     The main problem that arises is that people are not fully aware of the law and order of a certain state and need to be educated on the importance for maintenance of law.
