Task description: This assessment task requires you to create and deliver a narrated Powerpoint presentation that demonstrates the application of leadership concepts within the context of person-centered care. Drawing on the person-centered practice framework (McCormack & McCance, 2017), you will examine the leadership role in creating conditions for achieving person-centred outcomes for patients, staff, teams and organisations. Your presentation will address a given topic that relates to the person-centered practice framework. What you need to do: This assessment task requires you to choose a topic area (see below) and write a short essay which demonstrates your understanding of quantitative and qualitative approaches to research in healthcare. Your essay should not exceed 1,000 words. Start this assessment task by carefully analysing each of the essay structure questions below to ensure that you understand what the task is requiring you to do. Then choose one of the topic areas as the context for your essay: · Patient education and medication adherence · Music therapy and quality of life for older people in long term/residential care facilities Read and analyse relevant academic literature to begin your responses to the questions (also see the learning resources on the NSD203 Blackboard website). Introduction
Patient education is highly needed in order to improve their health condition and the quality of their lifestyle. In order to help the patient, avoid making medication error and fulfil their quarries, the clinician and the healthcare management should focus on educating the patients properly.
Ensuring informed decision-making relies heavily on patient education. In this regard the clinicians, physicians and the nurses play a huge role in educating the patients the importance of medication with proper guidance. This paper will highlight both qualitative and quantitative researches about the patient education and medication adherence.

Purpose and Nature of 1st Article
As per the article by van der Kraan et al. (2018), it describes the importance of qualitative research while educating the patients in term of medications and other related information. Within the recommendations of EULAR, the patient education is considered as the main basis of axial spondyloarthritis. The main purpose of this paper is to explore the perception, experiences and the requirements of patient education for the patients suffering from axial spondyloarthritis.
An interpretive phenomenological approach was applied and data were collected through the semi-structured interviews with axial spondyloarthritis patients. Multiple strategies were used in this regard and thematic analysis was applied in order to translate the experiences and perception of the patients from the interview into themes.
