In the second half of this class, we studied, the media, voting and elections, public opinion, political parties and lobbying and money in politics. For this final exam essay, discussthe facts about one of these subjects that you have learned in class since the midterm that has changed your outlook on our political system. Explain what you have learned in detail (be sure to check that you have the facts both correct and in as much detail as we learned in the course slide shows and other materials I have provided or your textbook). Your discussion of the topic you select should be in-depth and should take up most of your essay, and then discuss whetherknowing what you know now, you feel better or worse about our democracy. For example, if I were going to write about the electoral college, I would have to study the textbook and course materials on Canvas to make sure I discussed the electoral college system correctly because many people have opinions about the electoral college that are not fact-based. Students will lose points for making factual errors. But you are not allowed to copy a source. It must be in your own words. This essay should be between 1-3 pages in length. So, pick something you can write that much about. You must upload your pdf or word document to canvas here. I will not accept emailed essays.

Your essay must be 1-3 pages in length and all in your own words and it must be new writing for the exam, not something you wrote earlier in the class. You will lose a serious number of points if you quote someone or plagiarize a webpage or book.
