The model that was b
eing used for the selected model or framework for change was usual care plus home-based model. This model was simply based on a strength and balance reskilling exercise program which is delivered by the physio therapist. This model was also used for reducing the subsequent falls within the high-risk elderly adults who have experience of falls (Liu-Ambrose, T., Davis, J. C., Best, J. R., Dian, L., Madden, K., Cook, W., Hsu, C. L., & Khan, K. M.; 2019). Further, the training was provided to the elderly people for a period of 12 months.
Falls among the elderly people who are above 65 years are the third major causes of disability which are usually chronic in nature. It is only through strength and balance training and exercises which can help to reduce the chances of falls among the elderly people. Further, falls have been found to be the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in the elderly people (Alamgir H, Muazzam S, Nasrullah M; 2011).
The method which was used for this systematic review was in accordance with the PRISMA guidelines which assisted in completion of the checklist. PRISMA is known as the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis.
